The Lumos Ultra Journey Begins

Today marks another important step in the Dalgairn Works journey.

After months of research, comparing options, and considering what I wanted this business to become, I officially backed the Lumos Ultra through Kickstarter.

The Lumos Ultra combines UV and MOPA laser technology in a single machine, opening up opportunities to work with a wide range of materials and engraving techniques that would not be possible with my current setup alone.

What attracted me most was the flexibility. From glass and crystal engraving to detailed work on metals and other specialist materials, the Lumos Ultra has the potential to expand both the quality and variety of pieces I can create.

The project is still in its early stages, and there will undoubtedly be a learning curve ahead. Part of the purpose of The Journey is to document exactly that process—the successes, the challenges, the experiments, and the lessons learned along the way.

For now, the order is confirmed, and the countdown begins.
